Directions

From Cape Town:   follow the N7 north to Garies.   Take the Hondeklip Bay turn-off 6km north of Garies and continue north-west along gravel road for 83km.   Turn right to Koingnaas, turn left after 15km to arrive at Koingnaas Gate.   Kleinzee is 65km north of Koingnaas.   This route is recommended for 4x2 and 4x4 vehicles only.

From Cape Town:   follow the N7 north to Springbok.

From Gauteng:   follow the N14, via Vryburg, Kuruman, Upington to Springbok.

From Namibia, via Noordoewer Border Post, follow the N7 south to Springbok.

From Springbok, follow the R355 to Kleinzee via the Spektakel Pass, turn left (just before the start of the gravel road) to Komaggas, continue through this quaint little hamlet and complete the last 40km on a well-maintained gravel road.   At the T-junction with a tarred road, turn right to Kleinzee (total distance from Springbok 110km). This route is suitable for all vehicles.

Very important:   Gravel roads become treacherous during the rainy season (winter months), which makes travelling impossible in anything other than a 4x4 vehicle.
